Finton House: independent education as it should be.

The school was founded on the belief that children shouldn't be burdened unnecessarily by entrance examinations and that they gain immensely by learning in a positive, supportive atmosphere. Classes at Finton House are made up of children of a wide range of abilities and they usually include one pupil that requires extra support. There are approximately 305 pupils on roll. The average class size is 16, and each class has a teacher and an assistant, with more support brought in for larger classes.
