Friends of Finton House

What makes Finton House so special?

One of the main reasons for this is the strong parental network that exists. The inclusiveness of Finton House is extended to parents who are encouraged to play an active part in the life of the school. Both parents and children benefit from the social and fund raising activities which are a great deal of fun. This is all achieved by the Friends of Finton House, who are a body of parents committed to supporting the work of the school beyond the classroom. Individual committees are set up for the annual Quiz night, Christmas Fair, Summer Fete and of course the Consortium Fireworks.

Each class has a Representative which means good communication is maintained between parents, children and the school. They regularly arrange coffee mornings and class get togethers which ensures a friendly atmosphere. This also provides an ideal opportunity to deal with any queries that parents might have.

All parents receive a welcoming letter from the Chairman of the Friends of Finton House on joining the school. Summer picnics are held for those Reception children starting in the Autumn, enabling parents and children to socialise before the start of school.
